Damien Richardson is a well known television, film and theatre actor. Growing up in suburban Adelaide and studying Politics and Drama at Flinders University before moving to Melbourne in 1989 to pursue an acting career. He is known for a variety of roles including Neighbours, Jack Irish, and City Homicide. In 2003 he was nominated for an AFI award for his role in The Secret Life of Us.
He has worked with some of the biggest names in Australian Film and Television including Guy Pearce, Joel Egerton, Sam Worthington, Rachel Griffiths, GarySweet, Noni Hazelhurst, Nadine Garner and Deborah Mailman.
Since 2020, Damien has been propelled into “Having the conversations the others are too afraid to have”. Damien has written articles for Quadrant Online and Caldron Pool, and worked on an interview-based radio show. Currently Damien has his own podcast at damienrichardson.online. In January 2024 Damien completed writing a play called "Movement in Place."
After a successful year of speaking engagements in SA and Victoria, Damien is taking his tour to Queensland and in 2024.
